Bell, the iconic helmet brand, has just launched the 2010 range of “Star” full face helmets. Bell engineers have worked for almost three years improving the design of the helmet in an attempt to re-launch one of the most famous helmet brands of all time.
The 2010 Star has a redesigned head shape, improved air flow and improved safety ratings. While the original 2008 model favoured narrower heads, the 2010 model has been redesigned to a more neutral sizing. They have also introduced “Velocity Flow Ventilation” to allow for maximum ventilation and temperature control. The visor control mechanism has been redesigned to allow single finger toggling of the three modes offered – lock, friction or crack mode. The external design features an aerodynamic shape with a small rear spoiler to separate airflow which they claim also helps with buffeting.
The colour schemes have also been given a make over by Roland Sands Design with a variety of designs and colours offered for 2010.
The 2010 range meet the requirements of the Snell 2010 safety standard. For more information seehttp://www.thebellstar.com
